These lotus are different from water lily, it has been called both lotus and water lily in the same name “Lotus” in many country. Lotus is India national flowers and lotus also the flowers for praying in Buddhist way.

Lotus seeds will be selected only the healthy and old enough to harvest seeds
These seed must be nicked across concrete to break the hard seed coating. Just stop when you see the cream colour inner core and becareful your knife may kill the seeds. This allows water to enter the seed faster.
Then soak the seed in water use any clean water that is not softened by chemicals.
Seeds sprout in the water is within 1-4 week. You MUST change the water when it looks cloudy. Remember to add warm water each time.
Remove the seeds as they sprout and have grown to about 4 inches long. This usually takes only one or two days in the bottle. Put them in container which has clay in the bottle. Fill water cover the sprout and keep it in full sun.
